Stressed? Overwhelmed? Tired? Cranky?

I recently felt overwhelmed and stressed from the holidays and I decided it was time for a good liver cleansing to elevate my mood.  I also had the pleasure of visiting with an Ayurvedic/Homeopathic practitioner, who also suggested a detox of the liver and gallbladder for a Spring cleanse.  I usually like to take things gently in the detox department and make changes in eating habits to get the full effect of cleansing.  I do less sugar, carbs, dairy and go full force on the leafy green veggies. 

I learned that a two part series of cleansing would get me back on track to being an energetic and happy gal.

My first step was to quickly get things moving. With the help of the practitioner we decided that a morning elixir made with Braggs’ apple cider vinegar, turmeric and raw honey would be the start of the cleansing along with extra fiber in my diet for the next 3 weeks and then moving on to a supplement which included milk thistle and turmeric on a daily basis for added support before my next Fall cleanse. 
With in a couple of days I had tremendous energy and my mood was enhanced, I slept better and I lost 7 pounds in those three weeks.

Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail

A delicious, ideal pick-me-up at home, work, sports or gym (Recipe taken from Bragg’s website) can be taken 3 times daily – upon rising, mid-morning and mid-afternoon or after dinner, as it aids in digestion.

  • 1 to 2 tsp. Bragg Organic Vinegar in 8 oz glass of purified water

  • 1 to 2 tsp. Organic Raw Honey

  • 1 teaspoon of  Organic/ No radiated turmeric or 1 capsule (opened) of Natural Factors Turmeric Root Extract.
