As the Supplement Department Buyer for over 18 years, I’ve tried hundreds of different supplements. I do try different multi vitamins, probiotics and seasonal supplements so I’ll just focus on the supplements that have remained the same over the years. Just FYI, I currently alternate OxyLent powdered multi (great energizer) or Natural Factors From Earth to Sea Multi (100% Food Based and much of it sourced from Natural Factors’ 700 acre Canadian farm)and Renew Life Women’s Probiotics, but will certainly experiment with others.

I start my weekdays with a protein shake made from Almond Milk, Rebecca’s Organic Chocolate Protein Powder (yum), Barleans Chocolate Silk Greens (yum) & Country Life’s Maxi Skin Collagen powder (increase collagen by 60% to help my mid-forties knees and beginning wrinkles). Chocolate gives me a happy start to my day and I’m always in a rush on workday mornings so a protein shake is perfect.

Renew Life Digest Smart Women’s Care Enzyme at the start of my larger meals. I have tried most of the digestive enzymes we carry and this one works the best for me (it is very strong), although I like all of the Renew Life enzymes. As a person who has had chronic digestive problems since I was a child, I am thankful everyday for enzymes, which provide me with a happy belly.

Renew Life Critical Omega. I take 2 of these a day to help with my mood & chronic pain inflammation. If I miss a few days I can tell. They are enteric coated so I never have fish burps and 2 a day give me a therapeutic potency.

Rebecca’s Chelated Magnesium. I take 1 at bedtime and it eliminates nighttime leg cramps and seems to help with stress as well.

Similasan Sleeplessness Relief Homeopathic. These teeny tiny pellets have helped me for years when I’m having trouble falling asleep. I never feel groggy in the morning, even if I’ve taken them at 4 in the morning after daughter or dog has awakened me and I can’t get back to sleep. They are gentle enough for my daughter to take and equally effective for her when she can’t quiet her mind to fall asleep (she would love nothing better than a 11 p.m. bedtime).

Current Seasonal Pick: Oregon Wild Harvest’s Aller-Aid. I take 2 twice a day to keep my allergic itchy eyes, runny nose and sinus headache under control. For me, they work quickly and effectively with no side effects. I love that they use Organic, Freeze Dried Nettles, Quercetin, Vitamin C & NAC. NAC is a super antioxidant, immune/sinus supporter, & liver detoxifier and I take it solo during winter.
