Lea C Bennett, HBA & Supplement Department Assistant Manager
Lea grew up on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Playing in the woods, fields and on the beach, the natural world was an enchanting kingdom to be explored.
Later as a single Mom of three young children she took matters into her own hands, researching and inquiring about how to support children’s immune systems with herbs and nutrition.
In 1995 Lea started working at a health food store in Lynchburg Va, while attending Central Virginia Community College and graduated in 1997 with an Associates Degree. In the fall of 1999 she graduated from Natural Touch School of Massage.
Throughout her work in the natural products industry for the past 19 years, Lea has continued to learn new things daily about nutrition, supplements and wholistic thought. In 2008 Lea moved to Charlottesville to work at Rebecca’s Natural Food and attend herb school. She attended Sacred Plant Traditions in 2010 graduating from their Foundations Program and began her adventures in becoming a community herbalist.
Feel free to stop in and chat with Lea about herbs, gardening, making tinctures, mead making and how to support your health with supplements; she loves to talk about the things that light her up. She still finds solace in nature and enjoys exploring Charlottesville’s terrain.
Morgan Franklin, Grocery Assistant Manager

Morgan loves to study and experiment with different diets and lifestyles, currently focusing on the Paleo diet. She is also working towards an online health science degree from Brigham Young University.
Sophia has been with Rebecca’s for over 10 years. She started in the vitamin department at age 16, and soon moved to cashiering, where she has spent her longest stint training new employees and getting to know customers on a personal level. Now splitting her time between supplements and cashiering, she is excited to continue to expand her knowledge and better meet the needs of our customers.
Sophia loves working with people and supporting local business, and in her free time she utilizes the customer service skills acquired from her years at Rebecca’s to interface with vendors as the Director of Vending for OmegaCon, a gaming and anime convention with a focus on local and regional talents.
KeriAn Dodson, Store Operations Officer
KeriAn’s health food store journey began when she was just a teenager working in East Setauket, New York. While at the time she may not have realized that dream and the route was not necessarily direct, it was that first experience that led her to where she is today – at the helm of the Rebecca’s store.
After completing a degree in Environmental Science at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania KeriAn was drawn back into the health industry, serving as a retail vitamin buyer, a skill set that proved valuable to her future. Whether it was fate, chance or just good luck, KeriAn happened upon a full-time job at Rebecca’s after arriving in Charlottesville over 17 years ago, and been with the store in various degrees ever since.
Norman Dill, Founder
Inspired by his mother’s penchant for eating well and healthy choices, Norman started his health food store journey in 1976 working in Charlottesville’s Blue Mountain Natural Foods. Prompted by this experience he returned to his hometown in upstate New York to open his own store, Earthlight Foods, which is still in business today! More than a decade later, Norman felt Charlottesville calling once again and returned to open Rebecca’s Natural Food, which he named after his daughter.
